(Philippines)–Next, there’s word that the U-S military may get involved in trying to secure the release of missionary hostages in the Philippines. According to Assist News, military officials say U-S troops will be training Filipino soldiers in fighting the Abu Sayyaf. The terrorist group has been holding American missionaries Martin and Gracia Burnham of New Tribes Mission hostage since May 27th. Assist reports U-S troops will only assist in training and intelligence gathering.
