(Romania)–Meanwhile, as the abortion rate continues to soar out of control in Romania, an evangelical group is doing its part to reach out to women in crisis. International Messengers trains and mobilizes believers for active involvement in reaching the world for Christ. I-M’s Bob Rasmusson says they’re getting ready to open a mother’s care home in Romania. “Some of these mothers are married, but their husbands demand that they go get an abortion because they don’t want another mouth to feed and it puts them in a real moral dilemma. They don’t know where to turn. So, that’s one of the reasons we’ve opened this home. It’s to give them an alternative. And, of course, one of our primary goals is to share the hope of Jesus Christ with them.” Rasmusson says there are some needs associated with this project. “There’s some financial needs associated with finishing up that building as well as some sponsors to sponsor these gals.” 100-dollars can help a woman and her child for one month.
