(Indonesia)–Elsewhere, Reuters reports there is evidence that al-Qaeda members have sought refuge in Indonesia. The presence of more Islamic radicals adds tension to an area where peace is precarious. Recent attacks on the Christian community are threatening to derail the peace process. The Moluccas conflict has already claimed more than nine thousand lives and left over half a million people displaced. In spite of the unrest, many mission groups report that the church is growing and people are turning toward the hope of the Gospel.
