Story number 2 for 25 May 2001

(Colombia)–Elsewhere, World Vision officials say churches in Colombia are becoming increasingly opposed to actions by the United States. Reportedly the U-S is spraying harmful herbicides to eliminate coca crops, but that’s also killing legitimate crops and animals. That’s hurting development programs used to help point these people to Christ. World Vision also says it’s preventing Colombians from providing for their families and making a living. Helping Colombians out of poverty, says World Vision, can make a difference both physically and spiritually.
