Next, the Alliance of Protestant Churches in Turkey is requesting prayer for Kemal T. who was arrested in Diyarbakir (dee-YAHR-bah-KEHR) last May. According to Voice of the Martyrs, Kemal is being charged with insulting Islam and Muhammad. Police had been questioning him about Bible distribution work, when the arrests look place. Bible distribution isn’t illegal in Turkey, so it’s believed the charges were trumped up as a way to stop his ministry. Kemal will face the charges in court on January 30th.
