(Sri Lanka)–Voice of the Martyrs reports that Buddhist monks in Sri Lanka are calling upon their government to pass legislation outlawing conversion to Christianity by Sri Lankan Buddhists. Upset by the spread of evangelical Christianity and believing that their evangelistic activities present a significant threat to Buddhism in their island nation, the monks adopted an opposition plan on July 30. Pray for the Christians of Sri Lanka, as they face increasing religiously motivated opposition and violence.
