(International)–Operation Blessing International is recognizing their retiring Chief Operating Officer with its Humanitarian Service Award. What makes Robert Fanning’s service stand out is his desire for OBI to see their charge consistently answered. “The mission is to help the needy, actually from Isaiah 58:7: “Clothe the naked, feed the hungry, shelter the poor wanderer and don’t turn your back on your brother.” Then, once you have been able to meet that felt need, you have opened the door for the opportunity to talk about the Gospel, to talk to them about a relationship with Jesus Christ.” What’s more, Fanning believes their work will continue as global needs grow. “There are a huge number of people in the Untied States who love the Lord and who are willing to contribute their money and time to using the humanitarian outreach as a vehicle for bringing the good news of Jesus Christ around the world.”
