Global Advance is teaming up with “Youth With A Mission” this week to train over 2000 pastors and church leaders in the Amazon region of Iquitos, Peru. Dr. David Shibley with Global Advance is part of the instructional team. He says this may be the key to opening the evangelistic door to the region. “These are pastors who live not only in Iquitos, but also throughout the region of the Amazon. We’re very encouraged by this opportunity because it’s an opportunity, not only to encourage those pastors in their current ministry, but also to challenge them to finally reach the most remote, unreached peoples of the Amazon region.” Shibley believes that there are still several primitive tribes that don’t have the Gospel. “We believe with John in the book of Revelation, that there are going to be representative redeemed people from every tribe, language, and nation around the throne of God and we believe this conference is going to help facilitate that.”
