(USA)–As uncertainties in the United States continue to mount in light of terrorist attacks and possible biological threats, people are searching for something to cling to. More often than not, they are turning to the Gospel. Evangelism Explosion International’s Tom Stebbins explains. “They are finding materialism and all the things that they have been filling their lives with don’t meet the real basic needs of their eternal destiny and even the meaning of life now. They want to get down to the basics because, it’s been said that, ‘In the heart of every man is a God-shaped vacuum that only God can fill.’ (–blaise pascal)” Stebbins details their response. “For that reason, we’re sending some of our people to go up to New York, the 27th of this month, and cooperate with five of our EE-trained churches in sharing the Gospel because there is tremendous responsiveness right now, as a result of what is happening.”
