(USA)–An evangelical mission organization says more Christians than ever before are going on short term mission trips with them this year. Operation Mobilization’s Short Term Missions Coordinator Nadia Jacobs. “We are probably going to send out about double the amount of people that we sent out a couple of years ago. And, that is mainly because we have now a lot of church teams and college teams that will be going with us to different areas of the world.” Jacobs says these volunteers are going on medical missions, construction teams, and other evangelistic outreach. She says this can’t help but keep growing. “What we’ve been doing this year is actually customizing trips for churches and colleges. People are realizing short term missions are really valuable and that people can be reached within a two week or even a 10 day trip.”
