(Liberia)–During recent fighting in Liberia, thousands of civilians fled to an abandoned radio antenna field near Monrovia. Of the 50-thousand refugees, there are many from SIM-related churches in the war-torn areas. Church leaders from Monrovia have helped them set up worship services in each section of the camp. They’re also training pastors and church leaders to improve their ministry skills and teaching about HIV/AIDS. SIM-Liberia has also set up a project to help meet the most pressing needs of these families.
