(Pakistan)–For the first time in Pakistan’s legal history, the Supreme Court will decide whether a Christian should be executed. Compass Direct reports that Ayub Masih, a Christian convicted of blasphemy under Pakistan’s Penal Code, will get an appeal on his death sentence. Authorities say the decision was made based on irregularities in Masih’s case. His appeal is expected to take place in the next two or three months. In the meantime, pray for other believers who maintain their testimony during times of oppression.
