(Saudi Arabia) — Voice of the Martyrs is celebrating the release of 14 Christians from detention in Saudi Arabia. Last July these foreign nationals from the Philippines, Ethiopia, Eritrea and India were arrested for taking part in unlawful Christian gatherings. VOM officials received word late last week that nine of these believers were released Christmas Eve, while the remaining detainees were released Christmas Day. No reasons were given for their release. It’s likely the men and their families will be deported despite working in the country for many years.
