A ministry targeting young people is encouraging listeners to Christian radio to get involved with outreach around the world. Book of Hope’s John Young says they recently raised thousands of dollars for their ministry through a “Day of Hope” fund raiser on an Illinois Christian Radio Network. “That whole day, from about seven o’clock in the morning ’til six o’clock at night we just shared stories and talked about the ministry and people called in and pledged faith promises. We raise over $75,000 that day, which would allow us to print well over 200,000 Books of Hope.” Young describes the benefits of this kind of partnership. “To be involved in missions and have an opportunity to reach outside of your world is really and important thing. And, then of course for us, to be able to have that kind of contact and to bring teens overseas to distribute the Book of Hope – to minister to kids.”
