(USA)–An outreach to prison inmates in the United States is looking for people who can read and write Spanish. Crossroad Bible Institute offers a unique correspondence program for inmates to help them in their spiritual walk with the Lord. Crossroad’s David Schuringa. “20-percent of the 2-million inmates in America are of Hispanic origin. We’ve just launched a Spanish program, and now the Spanish lessons are beginning to pour in and we have a tremendous opportunity for people who can read and write Spanish, you can become an instructor.” Schuringa says the demand increased with their affiliation with Prison Fellowship’s Operation “Right now, we could use 200-300. That’s a program that’s going to keep growing unfortunately, I guess you would say, because the number of Hispanic inmates is growing and also of course that’s the largest minority now in the United States.”
