(Brazil)–Next, the International Bible Society has released its long-awaited Portuguese translation for Brazil. At a ceremony attended by more than 500 Brazilian church leaders, politicians and publishers, IBS-Brazil’s National Director described the NVI as the translation for this generation of Brazilians. IBS is excited about the translation’s ability to communicate to young people, because, of the country’s 172 million people, more than half, are below the age of 20.
