(Papua New Guinea)–We turn next to an evangelistic broadcasting outreach situated in Papua New Guinea. HCJB World Radio is working through a specific niche, so says Tom Norwald, Vice President of Operations. “It’s the first Christian FM station in Port Moresby and it’s called the “Wantok Radio Light”-“Friendly Radio Light”-We’re broadcasting programs in English and Pidgin primarily-and have really begun to see some good response both from Christians and non-Christians in the community.” Norwald explains that the because of the positive response to the ministry, the natural result is growth. “Pray for the next steps-what we’ve done with Port Moresby is really just the tip of the iceberg. We want to see stations put throughout the whole country and also reach out to some surrounding islands beyond Papua New Guinea.”
