(USA)–Meanwhile, the Evangelical Free Church mission is pleased with their summer youth ministry teams. 45 young people participated in this year’s Youth Builders program. Gordy Grover explains the program. “Youth Builders is a short term missions opportunity with the Evangelical Free Church Mission. We started in 1995 and after training camp we sent them off to their fields. We went to Rwanda. We also had a team in the Philippines and a team in Mongolia.” The teams helped with basic maintenance and construction needs. Grover says short term work helps encourage young people to get involved in missions. “Personally that’s why we do this. My wife and I have been doing this for quite some time and we find that we’re able to multiply ourselves on the mission field through this effort. It opens their eyes. It gives them a vision for what the Lord is doing in other countries and how they can participate themselves.”
