Next, Southern Baptist Churches in the United States are being asked to take on church planting projects among South America’s micropeople groups. These are tribal people numbering fewer than 25-thousand. Because there are more than 90 such groups, and limited number of missionaries, the Southern Baptist International Mission Board has started REAP. The program is designed to encourage churches to have a long-term impact on people desperately in need of the Gospel. I-M-B officials say every church member can participate.
