(Ecuador)–Next, nearly 300 mission leaders attended the 11th annual National Short Term Missions Conference over the weekend in the United States. Experts say more and more churches are getting involved in short term trips and leaders need to be trained to do it effectively. Conference speaker and President of Bridge Builders, Chris Eaton, says there are both good and bad reasons for this trend. Eaton says many churches are genuinely interested in helping, while he says there are others who simply do it because it’s trendy.
