(USA)–Meanwhile, a Christian University in the United States is providing training that will help education majors share their faith as they teach English. Cornerstone University just received approval by the state to begin offering their English as a Second Language program. Doctor Maxine Margesson. “My concern is the increased number of non-English speaking children that are in our school systems. This also affects our student teachers too, because we’ve had student go to probably 11 different countries student teaching.” Margesson says the course will open unique doors for ministry in countries closed to the Gospel. “English is an avenue for many to get into countries. And it seems as though many countries are looking for people to teach English. So, it is a road into many mission fields where the professional missionary may not have access.”
