(Mexico)–Elsewhere, American retailers are focusing their attentions on the Christmas season, trying to get consumers to buy their wares. However, YUGO Ministries’ Wayne Freeland says they’re encouraging believers to think outside the box. “The suggestion we’re making is that we consider a gift that has an eternal legacy attached to it that continues to accrue value to God’s kingdom for years to come. Christmas time is a time when many people’s hearts are more open to the things of Christ.” Freeland gives examples of a few larger projects that could use funding. “A thousand dollars would furnish tables and chairs to equip a church in Mexico. Five thousand dollars would build Sunday school classrooms for a church that might not have them, but need them. And even, 30-thousand dollars could build an entire church in Mexico as well as many other parts of the world.”
