Story number 5 for 2 Feb 2001

(Malawi)–And, a fierce African tribal chief recently led many of his people to follow Christ through an ultimate gesture of surrender. “JESUS” film teams in Malawi report that at the close of a “JESUS” film showing among the Ngoni (na-nee) tribe, the chief came forward to receive Christ. In a profound display of submission, he laid down his spear and sword, and fell to his knees. Many villagers responded by committing themselves to Christ.
