Summer missions initiatives note fastest growth this year

By August 8, 2008

International (MNN) — This
summer has been a busy one for e3 Partners in terms of missionary training.

June saw a record number of
applications for mission trips, and in July there were more workers on trips
with e3 than any month in the ministry's history.

To get
an idea of how many people this involved, e3 Missions scheduled 25 mission
trips on the calendar for July 2008. Estimating an average of 20 people per
team, that's 500 people getting involved with short-term missions.

Logistics
can be a nightmare with the American economy struggling. Airline tickets had to be purchased at the
lowest possible fare and often coordinated to bring people from several cities to
travel on the same international flights.

Even so, the
teams saw God's blessings on the churches and ministries that they served. They also saw God provide needed resources and open many doors.

e3 Resources has developed and
fine-tuned the tools that are used by e3 mission teams, churches and
individuals. These materials include the EvangeCube, the new HIV/AIDS cube, the
Dynamic Praying Scripture Prayer Guides, the Ignite Prayer Journal,
resources that attract kids to hear the Gospel, books, and other valuable tools
for Kingdom work. Current economic issues are having an impact; God's leading
and direction are essential.

Ask God to continue to
call His people to be part of His work in the world. Pray that field staff and mobilizers who are
leading the mission trips this month will be clear-minded, focused, and serve
in the Lord's strength.
