Thailand: cave flooding traps youth soccer team and coach

By June 29, 2018

Thailand (MNN) — Search and rescue teams are racing against time to find a way into the cave that has trapped twelve football (soccer) players and their young coach in Northern Thailand.

We caught up with Noi, Compassion International’s senior manager of the program in Thailand. They learned earlier this week that one of the beneficiaries of their child sponsorship program is among the 12 boys trapped.

You can listen to that interview, here.

We’ll be following this story as it develops. For now, can you pray?

Noi says, “Please, please pray for every searching team that they can do their operation plan and go through to reach the boys, and all thirteen boys are alive and be rescued safely as soon as possible. And also pray for the strength and hope … about their families of all thirteen boys.”
