The church stands with a pillaged Liberia.

Liberia (MNN)–United Nations’ peace keepers moving into Liberia’s rebel-held east are finding whole villages emptied of all but the looters, rubble and those who did not survive the war.

At the peak of this summer’s crisis, most of the residents fled before the advancing rebels, creating thousands of displaced homeless.

However, the Evangelical Church Union of Liberia, in partnership with SIM, is bringing some order to the chaos. The ECUL is ministering by providing medical care, food, resettlement kits, building materials and other necessities.
The kits include Scripture, literature among the supplies needed for getting restarted.

SIM is a global community of Christians who are passionate about reaching others with the love of Jesus Christ, especially those in crisis.
