Volunteers wanted for summer trip

By March 13, 2008

India (MNN) — India Partners is beginning to form teams for short-term mission trips this summer and beyond.

One of the objectives of their mission statement is to cultivate relationships and encourage self-sufficiency through the compassion of Christ. Short-term trips do both. Depending on the abilities and strength of the teams, they can be involved in many activities such as orphan care, education, micro-loans or sharing resources.

Past team members remember the stories of those they've met and have received encouragement from their faith. Team leader Donna Glass recalls, "Each team has gone to serve, to share Christ's love, to be His hands and serve. Yet, each time, we have been served."

The next team is scheduled for June 29 – July 12, 2008. There are still openings for this trip, and plans are in the works for future trips. India Partners urges you to consider using your talents this summer with a team in India. Each trip is tailored to utilize the talents and skills of the team members.
