Western Russia team meets to set vision

By September 23, 2009

Russia (MNN) — A SEND International team in
Western Russia meets this week to decide on a distance-learning proposal for
pastors and church leaders.

Missionary
Rick Kirschman says they want to help those who cannot afford to miss work to
attend regular training sessions at their Biblical Training Center. The program
will provide computer classes, assignments and a supervisor.

Kirshmann
serves as the director of Tree
of Eternal Life Association  (TELA), a ministry of SEND International. It's a
youth ministry in western Russia, ministering in the provinces of Tambov,
Lipetsk and Voronezh.

Their
purpose is to proclaim the Gospel to Russia's youth and train them as disciples
of Christ. Since TELA is both Russian national staff and SEND missionaries,
they work together with the local
churches. Its ministries include
camping, youth clubs, radio, sports, and the HiBA Club ministry.

Pray
for good discussion and wise decisions.
