Russia (MNN)–The Association of Baptists for World Evangelism is looking to expand their work.

This year, teams will be taking the Church Ministries Institute into Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, and Belarus.

270 students are enrolled in classes, and funds were raised for emergency fire relief to restore the CMI offices following the fire in their building. Much rebuilding work remains to be completed. However, new legislation requires that the CMI land be privatized.

The team in Russia just wrapped up teaching three courses at the Bible Institute. At the same time, a youth missions conference took place January 27-28. Pray that God will use this to further fan the flame that has been kindled for evangelistic outreach and church planting.

In Ukraine, teams are translating into Russian a new evangelism – discipleship workbook. A second booklet is being translated which seeks to answer common misconceptions held by unbelievers about how to go to heaven.
