International (OD/MNN) — Underground, the youth outreach of Open Doors, will sponsor its fourth annual Shockwave prayer event on March 4th and 5th.

Shockwave is a global, 48-hour youth prayer event that will focus on interceding for the estimated 200 million persecuted Christians worldwide. Intercession will take place in Internet chat rooms and prayer meetings throughout the world. The event will start in New Zealand and circle across the time zones, covering the world in prayer.

Last year Christian young people from 15 nations participated. “I think that Shockwave has the potential to be one of the single most important events in history in mobilizing people to pray for the Persecuted Church,” says Dr. Carl Moeller, president of Open Doors USA.

“Combining the connectivity of the Internet with the power of worldwide focused prayer, potentially millions of God’s people will unite in a massive effort to ask Him to strengthen His body.” For details visit ODshockWave.org.
