OBI is sending five million doses of antibiotics will help people with respiratory illnesses. Another five million doses of medications will treat diabetes, hypertension and high blood pressure, while 500,000 doses of anti-tuberculosis medication will help control that disease.

Also in the shipment, muscle relaxers, pain medication and even cough suppressants that are rare commodities in Nicaragua.

All of the medicines and equipment will be sent to the capital of Nicaragua, and distributed by the government. Much of it will go to hospitals which serve the entire eastern coast.
