International (MNN)–This summer’s work has been fruitful. Global Aid Network, or GAiN USA, reports their short-term ministry teams worked in three Soviet countries in 90 places.

Teams visited many different institutions to help meet needs. GAiN teams were found in Pskov, Kazan, Voronezh, Ryazan, Novokutznesk, Kemerovo, Rivne and Brest.

Once they arrived, they would go to their destination and begin their work. At many of these sites, teams handed out food, clothing, toys, school supplies and always, Biblical literature.

This summer, teams handed out 38.1 tons of food, accompanied by 22,705 books, and children’s Bible storybooks.

More than just the mobilization of resources with compassion, it was an opportunity for the 202 volunteers, too. Through their efforts, 9618 children and adults were exposed to the Gospel.

It’s amazing what a difference one person makes. When 202 believers come together in single-minded purpose, change comes to a community.
