A women’s Christian network works for Kingdom influence

By February 23, 2010

Ethiopia (MNN) — Women of Global Action or WOGA is a network
encompassing over 150,000 Christian women leaders around the world.

Together, they educate women on how best to influence their
world with God's love as they address the issues of injustice affecting women
and girls.

For example, the Entoto Outreach Project is an outreach to am
Ethiopian community of 4,000 people
living with HIV/AIDS on Entoto mountain, which is on the outskirts of Addis
Ababa.

The goal of this project is to help these individuals obtain
access to health care, income generation opportunities and eventually to help
them reintegrate into back into society.

The project is also helping the children of these
individuals through after-school activities, health screenings, tutoring and
other educational activities.

It falls neatly into the scope of WOGA, which is why their
team asks for prayer as they work there. An April short-term team is planning to work with AIDS-affected widows,
orphans, the poor, microenterprise in
Entoto as well as sharing the hope of Christ through several other ministry
outreaches with BEZA International ministry.
