Accreditation announcement means adoptions stay on track

By March 19, 2008

USA (MNN) — Bethany Christian Services announced their accreditation with the Hague Convention on Inter-country Adoption this week.

The Hague Convention approval is necessary for international adoption to continue
for Bethany.  In fact, all U.S. adoption agencies will need it by April 1, 2008 to continue adoptions outside the U.S. The convention was created in 1993 as an international treaty that protects children adopted internationally.

Families already in the process of adopting internationally will not be delayed in their process as a result of this accreditation.

This reflects Bethany's high standards for protecting children, providing customer service and implementing their practices ethically.
