Aid for Katrina survivors continues to grow.

USA (MNN)–With the Gulf Coast region still reeling from Hurricane Katrina, Food For The Poor, along with partnering churches, are expanding the scope of relief.

Over 75-hundred volunteers are teaming up to distribute aid throughout the Gulf Coast area. Nearby, in Biloxi, Yankee Stadium has become one of the prime relief areas, and efforts are underway to assist every church in Biloxi with the clean up process.

Since the relief effort began, over 140 tractor-trailers filled with aid, plus 60 additional containers, have hit the crisis zone.

The cooperation between Food For the Poor and Operation Compassion means more people can get help. Distribution teams believe that they act as the hands and feet of Christ as they meet both physical and spiritual needs.
