Bolivia (MNN)–Abuse, insecurity, lack of opportunity–these are typical issues women face in some Third World countries.

The SIM-related church in Bolivia is helping women with the tools they need to live Godly lives in challenging conditions.

The International Women’s Conference brought together 650 women from Bolivia, 21 from other South American countries, and two from Niger.

Once they saw the conditions in which the women from Niger live, the South American women gave over $300 (USD) for a nutrition project for Muslim women through Galmi Hospital in Niger.

Many women found forgiveness and gave the pain and resentment they had carried for years to the Lord following a message from Elena Ralek, Argentina. At least four women acknowledged Jesus as their Savior.

In the end, from Bible study to dealing with interpersonal conflict to counseling and dealing with AIDS, the women got tools that will help them be effective, as they become the hands and feet of Christ in their own communities.
