Bible correspondence in North Africa

By October 6, 2003

North Africa (MNN)–International Needs Network continues to partner with others in reaching the people of North Africa with the Gospel.

The state religion is Islam and the governments are committed to the preservation of Islam as the religion of all subjects. Persecution of believers and intimidation of seekers has steadily increased over the last 30 years.

IN-Network currently works with others in the area of writing, printing and distributing Bible correspondence courses in North Africa with over 4,400 enrolled.

They also visit and disciple those who study the course, print and distribute a bi-monthly evangelical magazine and do translation work.

Their future plans include expanding the correspondence course both in terms of numbers enrolled and Arabic countries into which it is sent.

The group also is putting more of an effort into planting churches and planning retreats as an opportunity to meet other Christians for encouragement.
