Bible Pathway stays strong in economic downturn

Guatemala (MNN) — Bible Pathway Ministries was able to provide hundreds of Bibles, New Testaments and Bible Pathways for children in Guatemala after receiving generous donations.

In response to a MNN broadcast earlier this month, Bible Pathway received a donation of 1500 Spanish New Testaments — a supply they had been depletedf. The donation could not have been more timely.

"The Lord had that come just at the right time, because the very next day, we received a request from Open Doors Ministry International of Guatemala that they needed 400 New Testaments [for] their school children," says Bible Pathway's Ken Sharp.

God also provided Bible Pathway with enough Bibles and New Testaments to send to Liberia for a Bible reading marathon. Both of these large donations have been significant, especially in times of economic decline and financial cutbacks.

"As the economy has gotten a little bit slower, we're continuing to be able to send Bibles around the globe," says Sharp. "We're thanking God for His people's sacrificial giving and for how God works and overrules in certain situations."
