Campus Crusade missionary killed in Latvia

Latvia (MNN) — Police in the former Soviet republic of Latvia continue their investigation into the death of an American missionary.

Karen Dye a spokeswoman for Campus Crusade for Christ confirms that the missionary was a Campus Crusade worker. Dye says the missionary’s identity is being withheld by police while the investigation continues in Riga.

The missionary was found slain in his apartment. A police spokeswoman said the man was found stabbed and strangled. Investigators found the victim’s apartment in disarray and believe he may have been robbed.

Dye says the missionary’s family has been notified. Pray for the safety of other missionaries that are serving around the world.
