Children in Kenya are hungry, help is needed

By November 3, 2004

Kenya (MNN) — For more than three million Kenyans, severe drought over the past several months has resulted in famine conditions.

Over 10,000 Compassion International sponsored children and their families have been severely affected by food shortages. They face severe malnutrition, suffering or even starvation if we do not intervene now. A gift of only $24 will provide maize and beans for a family of six for one month. A gift of $240 will provide for 10 families. And a gift of any size will bless a family with nourishing food — and hope. Your gift can do so much in these situations.

Since Compassion works through the local church, the relief that’s supplied is a conduit to eventually sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those that are suffering. Pray that many will respond.
