Christians make up less than 1 percent of Japan’s population.

Japan (MNN) — Japan is a country facing rapid social change and insecurity. Traditional and modern cultures combine to form a tremendous barrier to the Gospel.

Freedom of religion is allowed, but Japan is one of the least evangelized countries in Asia. Christians make up less than 1 percent of the population in this country strongly influenced by Buddhism and Shintoism.

The next two weekends SEND International is reaching out to Japanese youth through Christian music events called “Gospel Live”. Students perform Christian music as groups and solos. Some have even written their own songs. Many students invite their non-Christian friends.

Pray that the Gospel will be clearly presented through the music and that many Japanese youth will come to know Christ.
