Compassion-sponsored children and development centers suffer in flood

By April 15, 2010

Ethiopia (MNN) — Recent flooding in Wonji, Ethiopia, has affected children in the Compassion International child sponsorship program.

More than 60 Compassion-assisted children have lost homes or belongings to the flooding.

In addition to these losses, two of Compassion's child development centers have lost furniture and equipment.

This is all of the information Compassion has at present, but Compassion Ethiopia will contact the ministry with updates. If you sponsor a Compassion child who has been affected by the flooding, you will be notified as well.

In the meantime, pray for these families who have lost so much. Pray for Compassion's ministry to be able to recover from damages and to be able to continue ministry again soon.

You can sponsor a child for only $38 a month through Compassion's child sponsorship program. Click here.
