Evangelism not taking a back seat in Haiti

By January 18, 2010

Haiti (MNN) — Ravaged by a 7.0 earthquake on January 12, the people of Haiti need your help to provide relief efforts for victims of the devastation. Haitian "JESUS" film teams are already there and ready to respond to the needs on the ground.

Project leaders do not yet know the status of all national film team workers, but they know that they and their families have been affected. Please pray for them. They are reaching out to the families around them and helping to meet the enormous physical and emotional needs.

When the earthquake hit China and the cyclone hit Myanmar in 2008, "JESUS" teams responded. This generosity opened doors to wonderful opportunities for sharing the Gospel for weeks and even months later.

In this extremely poor country where many people's hearts have been steeped in bondage to voodoo and spiritism, film teams have an opportunity to show the love of Christ and speak the hope that only comes from knowing Him.

As in Asia last year, this is a unique "window of opportunity" to respond to men, women and children with tremendous physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Your gift will enable the "JESUS" Film Project to respond with the Gospel in Haiti, not only now, but also in the coming weeks and months.
