Evangelists around the world get training and support

By June 4, 2008

International (MNN) — For over thirty years, hundreds of thousands of people all
over the world have become Christians through the ministry of David and Amy
Stockwell. Now the David Stockwell
Evangelistic Association (DSEA) also trains and equips other evangelists to serve
Christ around the world.

A partner of Sammy Tippit Ministries, DSEA has a mission is “to
fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ
internationally, and by assisting local leaders in equipping believers for
effective ministry.” It runs youth
rallies and citywide evangelistic events, distributes Bibles and discipleship
materials, and provides training for pastors and evangelists all over the
world.

The NEST (National Evangelist Support Team) program focuses on the
development and training of national evangelists. Stockwell and other team leaders personally
mentor evangelists and equip them for full-time ministry in field
evangelism.

NEST evangelists work alongside the DSEA evangelistic team
and report on other evangelism they do each month. They host DSEA campaigns in their countries,
taking responsibility for the set-up and follow-up required for the
campaigns. DSEA supports them
financially and provides them with necessary equipment.

Currently, 50 men around the world are going through NEST
training and are already reaching tens of thousands of people with the
Gospel. They include pastors and
evangelists from 15 different countries and almost every continent.
