Good news from Niger.

Niger (MNN)–The new school year has just begun in Niger.
Evangelical Baptist Missionaries launched an elementary school several years ago to reach a vast number of children from Muslim families.

The good news is Nigerien Christians are now running the school in Niamey, Niger. Over 400 children are taught daily from the Bible as part of their lessons.

In a typical day, the children memorize Scripture and each morning learn about relationship with Christ. A Christian worldview permeates not only the lessons, but also other activities throughout the school.

Pray for the teachers who not only train the children’s minds but also their hearts.

EBM has made a long-term commitment to work in Niger. They first began in 1930, and have since expanded their work through church planting, literature distribution, literacy programs, Bible translation, a radio ministry and an evening Bible school.
