Inner city ministry needs help for Easter

By March 28, 2007

USA (MNN) — While you may not think of yourself as a child evangelist, that's exactly what you become when you help Here's Life Inner City this Easter.

Here's Life Inner City, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, plans to hand out 29,000 Easter Bags this Easter to children in 14 major cities in the U.S.  These bags are filled with candy, fresh fruit, a coloring book which tells the story of Jesus' life along with crayons, and a salvation bracelet.

Here's Life provides the bags in inner city programs, who use them to draw children into their ministries.  Last year, one church held an Easter egg hunt.  The eggs turned out to be 'Resurrection Eggs.'  But before the bags were opened, someone told the children about each figure found inside the eggs — which explained the Easter story.

Ted Gandy, Here's Life's National Director, says entire families gave their hearts to Christ last year because of the outreach.

With Easter less than two weeks away, Here's Life Inner City needs your help to make sure the Easter Bag outreach is a success. Your gift of $75 will ensure that 10 children hear the Gospel this Easter.  There isn't much time.  Click here to give. Use the quick code "EBAG07."
