Jesus speaks Makonde.

Mozambique (MNN)–Mission Aviation Fellowship was instrumental in getting Wycliffe missionaries into Nampula, Mozambique for a Gospel project.

The two-hour flight MAF proviced saved the team eight hours of travel by the roads. In only two short weeks, the team had to translate the JESUS Film into Makonde. The team reviewed the text for accuracy, then auditioned and trained the actors who would become the voices of the film.

The MAF plane took the team into Mueda, a somewhat isolated town. Following the recording, a ‘rough draft’ unedited version of the movie was put together for the Makonde.

Astonished, the people watched the Gospel come to life, listening to Jesus speak to them in their own heart language. Pray that the people respond.
