USA
(MNN) — CityTeam Seattle is hosting a week long basketball clinic this summer
to kick off their annual Back 2 School event.

As a non-profit organization,
CityTeam Ministries uses
events like this to serve the poor and homeless in San Jose,
San Francisco, Oakland,
Portland, Seattle,
Philadelphia,
and partnerships in over 7 other countries around the world.

Running August 6-10, a partnership effort with "Got
Game Ministries" teaches kids the fundamentals of basketball, teamwork,
respect for one another, and most importantly introduce them to a God who deeply
cares for them.

A basketball clinic will be provided, followed by afternoon
pickup games for kids in the central district of Seattle. CityTeam is expecting
almost 400 kids to participate in this event. Most of them do not have enough
money to buy running shoes, let alone attend sports camp.

The week will end with a barbeque where up to 400 children
will receive backpacks filled with all the essential school supplies to start
off the school year. If you want to get involved, click here .
