Mission Cry shipment reaches Uganda

By June 3, 2026

Uganda (MNN) — Last month, a Mission Cry shipping container headed to Uganda was delayed at sea by geopolitical tensions, but it has now finally reached the country.

Jason Woolford with Mission Cry says, “This container has finally been able to hit the port. It’s been released… and it has already begun to be an incredible move of God.”

The container carried half a million dollars’ worth of Bibles, Christian books, and seminary materials.

The library materials will be stored in the container they were sent in and will serve as a hub for the distribution and gifting of free Bibles and Christian books.

Mission Cry aims to continue stocking the library by sending two containers a year to Uganda.

“This is a country that is known to be a Christian nation, but the problem, like in so many places around the world, is that people have professed and confessed Jesus to be their Lord and Savior, which is great for their eternity and salvation. But without the Word of God, which they don’t have, they don’t know what God has to say about the rest of the situation,” Woolford says.

These believers want to read Scripture but do not have the resources to do so.

“That’s the difference that we’re making at Mission Cry,” Woolford says, “That’s the difference that this Christian library is going to make, training up not only seminary students and evangelists to go back out into the community, but also an ongoing place where we will be using these resources for evangelism, giving the word of God to people.”

Matthew 4 says that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Mission Cry aims to share the Word of God with believers seeking to follow him.

Woolford says that, going into its 70th year, Mission Cry received regular requests for Bible resources. This location was one of those requests.

In this particular case, there was no building to store the materials, so Mission Cry also purchased the 40-foot shipping container as a storage facility.

Mission Cry encourages people to get involved and find ways to repurpose Christian materials. The average home in America has 6 Bibles sitting on a shelf, and often, materials are available at churches, rummage sales, and thrift stores.

“We’re sending the word God, the only thing that does not return void,” Woolford says. “…The Word continues, and that’s what we’re giving people. We’re giving people the opportunity to read about the God, the one true God, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Lamb, all facets of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, people being able to understand that you know that God’s the same yesterday, today, and forever, that faith is the substance of things, hoped for, evidence of things unseen.”

Please pray that the powerful Word of God will disciple Christians and that Mission Cry will continue to have the financial resources to do this work.
