North Korea (MNN/Global Advance) – The North Korean Church is suffering.

Forced underground for decades by North Korea’s harsh regime, secret believers are now facing even more difficult times.

As reported here, “The food crisis has abated thanks to the traditional markets cropping up in North Korea, but it appears that people in periphery villages are still suffering from serious food shortage.”

Global Advance shares more about the North Korean Church in its latest Alpha Relief update:

The North Korean underground Church is suffering as food across the nation grows scarce. The country has been in constant struggle to provide for the needs of its people, yet officials stand in fierce opposition toward underground aid efforts. Labor camp sentences are issued to those helping Christians.

By God’s grace, a brave Alpha Relief onsite partner has been able to successfully deliver emergency food, clothing, medicine, and other essential survival resources to a growing church network inside North Korea made up of over 220 families.

Our partner recently notified us that, due to flooding, a delivery is desperately needed to offer support and hope for those being served. It’s a very dangerous mission but our partner stands ready as soon as resources are available.

For $5,000 we can equip our partner with a delivery of emergency food, clothing, and medicine, ensuring hope and survival for our North Korean brothers and sisters in Christ.

Help meet the need here.
